Mary, WebTV User First!

Hello, I'm Mary aka known as Seagull5 online. I reside in Long Island, NY, where I work as an insurance broker. I am also the Mother of one daughter who lives on the other side of the United States from me. She lives in California.

I got my WebTV as a gift about two and a half years ago. The first thing I used it for was to search the internet for recipes. Last year, I got a computer. I use my computer to make graphics for WebTV users now. The best thing about WebTV is that it has given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from all over the country.

I have built several homepages during these two and a half years. I hope you will visit and enjoy them. My favorite is My Country Home but others include:

I think WebTV has changed a lot, but mainly for the better. The best upgrade we got included 'Cut & Paste.' Newbies should not get discouraged but just keep trying. The WebTV community is full of nice and helpful people. You should never be afraid to ask for help.

The site I use the most is Domania for transloading. The sites I most enjoy or I am always checking out are poetry sites.

Last month's featured guest author, George, and I are involved in a fast growing web ring called HPO International. We also jointly make holiday and special event cards for the alt.discuss.anything.friendly (ADAF) newsgroup. The ADAF newsgroup is where you may post without flamers and trolls. This newsgroup is growing with new posters visiting us there regularly.

Other newsgroups that I like include alt.discuss.confer and alt.discuss.homepage.opinions, but most of my time is with the alt.discuss.anything.friendly newsgroup. New WebTV users who are looking for a newsgroup to join are invited to visit ADAF and see if they like the discussion there or visit the Discuss Anything Friendly Homepage. I think they will find everyone friendly.
